I have hundreds of photos on my phone, waiting to be edited and posted to this blog. I wonder if it will ever happen.

I've dug myself into some deep holes when it comes to the responsibilities I have right now. I am behind in every area of my life. It's odd to because each of these responsibilities are actually activities I enjoy. They are responsibilities I chose. I just got myself in over my head.

Some days I am in denial about everything I have to do. Other days I wake up in the middle of the night and can't fall back asleep because, well, if I'm honest with myself, I'm having a mini panic attack.

If I could just stop being in denial, focus, and make serious headway, I wouldn't have so much anxiety. If I could just remember that everything always somehow works out, I'd be okay.

I have trouble focusing because instead of watching online lectures for school, I want to watch independent shorts on YouTube. Instead of working on my research project, I want to look at knitting patterns on Ravelry. I am so distracted by the beautiful but what I need to be right now instead of the consumer is the creator.

And yes, writing this blog post was just another form of procrastination.

I know that February is always a short month but somehow it seemed extra short this time.

I'm completely moved into my new apartment and mostly unpacked. Work has been extra crazy the past two weeks. Perhaps this is why time seems to have escaped me.

Call me crazy, but this weekend I'm helping a couple friends move. Even though this will take up a lot of time this Saturday, I hope to finally edit and post my February photos. Until then, let me share this happy thought with you:

Yes, I'm Alive

Hello! I just wanted to let you know I am still alive and still taking photos. . . for the most part. I have 7 pictures from a couple weeks ago but last week I was sick, again. I'm not entirely sure what I had but I was worried it was strep throat since I had a couple sores in my throat. Anyhow, this week I have a major project going on at home that is requiring most of my attention. I'm not sure when I'll be posting pictures next but when I do, rest assured that I will do my best to make up for the lack of postage. Until next time. . .

Last week I had a cold so I wasn't as faithful about taking photos as I have been previous weeks. Nevertheless, here is what I have to show you:

This is what the ground looks like after all the snow and salt are gone.

After 6 months of use, I discovered that the stove lid opens so you can clean underneath.

On days like this, I like to imagine I'm in London.

We got a bit of snow.

I Know What You Are Thinking, At Least I Think I Do

Good news! I am finally going to get this website up and running. It may appear as though taking daily photos was my New Year's resolution but it wasn't. I just so happen to purchase a super smart phone on January 1st which makes it a lot easier for me to take photos. I had intended on posting these photos earlier but some laptop issues made it difficult. Without further adieu, here are my daily photos from January 1st through January 7th.

I take it back. I have more to say. These photos aren't perfect, especially since they were taken with my phone, but I'm hoping I grow in my abilities as an amateur photographer through this process. And maybe, just maybe, I will end up taking a little time each day to be more observant of the little details of my days. Finally, I promise every week won't be so cat-heavy. You see, in the past if the cats were doing something cute, I never had time to dig out my Nikon D70 in time to capture it, usually because they became interested in what I was doing. Now that I have a phone with picture taking abilities, I am finally able to capture some of those moments that make me go, "awwww." Oh, and in case you were wondering, that last photo is of snow falling.

Another daily photo blog? It sounds predictable but your world isn't my world and even if it was, we would notice different bits and pieces. And that, my friend, is what will make this unique.
